Finally worked out a straightforward way to teach this at my next workshop..Bob painted this one early on in the series..in season 2...and following his process wouldn’t work with students who’ve never painted before.

E.g. he uses a special paint gun that he’d invented and patented for the thinnest branches on the trees..but it didn’t go into production because it wasn’t cost effective. Interesting bit of trivia, yes? This is my 3rd attempt..tomorrow I’ll paint a final one to use in class.
